Lovely looking connie but don't think she is going to get anywhere near what she paid for him...

Sounds like a very ill informed purchase. How gutted must she be and sounds like shes had a fright or two... Quite alot of money for a novice to spend tho....

Alot of connies I know tend to be a bit of a handful - I wouldn't have one for that very reason....I'm not experienced enough (and want a quiet life!)

I'd price at £3000 depending on it's stamp and what he'd done jumping wise.....

I really feel for her as a novice rider - it is so hard to find the right 1st horse, and know what questions to ask. Looks like she was stitched up good and proper.

I think it was expensive when she bought it as a 'good un', however, now as advertised I really don't think she will get her money back. I guess she will just be happy to get most of it back and move the horse on.

At least she is being very honest - I don't think she will get that price at all, but oh my what a gorgeous horse! I'd have him if I had the room.

Too much for a horse with those issues - I know she will be wanting to recoup money spent, but would be very suprised if she does....

We obviously haven't met the same connies then!

I've had two and ridden many and I think they're such a lovely, kind breed

Each to his own of course

Ditto this, our Connie is one of the nicest horses you could ever wish to meet (_Gina_'s Prince). Other Connies I have known have been lovely too, maybe a bit cheeky but never real handfuls.

She doesn't say she wants her money back - she as open to suggestions. Part of me does wonder if a more experienced rider would work through the hacking issues. We all know horses (even the really nice ones) will try it one in a new environment. My horse is known to be one of the most straight forward to hack out but he will absolutely try it on with new people.

I am going to call her, I have a bet with myself that it will be the EXACT same person who a novice livery on my friends yard bought a connie from...said pony is now subject of a court case.
