......would you say a horse like this is worth? Its a horse I'm interested in, but not sure if its not a bit over-priced.

15hh 7 year old gelding, LW cob type.
Nice temp, good to do all ways, no vices, good in traffic and to hack, scopey jump (1.20m), jumps anything, honest and careful, has hunted jumping rails and ditches, xc schooled, done a couple of dressage tests, placed in both but can get a little tense and hurried on the flat, snaffle mouth except for hunting.

Mmm I'd say about £4000 in this market. Hard to say tho without seeing him. More if he's attractive & a nice colour, less if he's visually challenged lol

3-4k

Not done much, gets tense and hurried on the flat which means its not that well schooled. If hes jumping 1.20m then wheres his competition record? Is there a video of him jumping a 1.20m track as with that statement that is what i would expect.

No, surely not! Even the best dressage horse can get tense, and let it show.

Not everyone wants a 'competition' animal. This sounds like a first class all rounder that could turn its hand to anything.

So come on OP - what do they want for it??

£4600.
Looks very ordinary in his confo pic but looks lovely in the ridden pics. There is a video of him jumping a single fence of a decent size and seller thinks he has scope for more. He has not done much, but seller says he is ready to go. He is actually 14.3hh.

At that size (difficult to sell as officially out of ponies but too small for many adults) and given his lack of competition record I think he is a bit pricey, especially if he looks a bit plain.

I'd go and look at him, if you like him make them an offer. Tell them you think he is a little over priced for his record, most people price with a view to being able to come down a bit. If you can get him for £4000 then I don't think you have done badly if he is easy going and a genuine alrounder.

So you're looking at a £4k price tag then.

If he's in your budget and you like - fab!
