How Much??

Hi folks just wondering how much do you pay for Flu/tet vacs plus callout just had bill for £75. Which I thought was a bit steep been living in ireland for past 5 years, and it was defo cheaper over there!!

Ooh, that is a bit steep. Mine was about £35 last month, but that was shared call out with a few others...

I just paid £44 and that wasn't a shared visit. £75, that is ridiculous!

£30 for jab, £25 callout = £55.

I tend to take my horse to them to save the callout.

Seems a bit steep but depends how far away from the practice you are. Flu/tet seems to be around £36 pounds here (South West). More and more practices are doing free/reduced fee visits for routine procedures (vaccs, teeth etc) if you book more than 24hrs in advance and are happy for it to be on a certain day of the week, eg a Tuesday as they are in your area that day.

mine was £60 probably because the vets is about 45 minute drive from my horse the things we do for a good vet lol

Whoa that is a lot I usually pay £77.44 for 2 horses to be done inc call out fee that's £38.72 each.

Thanks just what i was thinking. I use Dads farm vets for flu jabs because they are only 15mins away, callout was £40 then £35 for vac + VAT!
They won't vaccinate my horses again!!

ours are about 39 (f and t) or 34 F only and free zone visit. Ireland does tend to be very cheap for vet work though! Ive been stunned by the price of vet work since i moved here!

i pay 29.85 for flu only, 34 for flu and tet. i get it done on a free zone visit otherwise the call out would be 35. so around 70 for a flu and tet and call out. i always try to tie a few in together if not on a zone visit to save on the call out fee!
