When the light at the gate goes on, this is the sign to stand absolutely still. No squelching is allowed, it may give away our posistion. Remember, 'she' can't see into the field with that light cos the stupls electrician out it in the wrong place whislt 'she' was a work.
When 'she' comes into the field and shouts, no-one must move. Even if it is windy 'she' might hear us.
'She ' willl be forced to go back to the house and look for a (working) torch. This gives us an opportunity to huddle into the walls/hedging and make sure the reflective parts of the rugs are hidden. When 'she' comes back into the field waving the torch around do not let the beam touch you. It will burn a hole in your rug, and should it touch your skin it will burn it away. If 'she' comes towards you, step away in horror.
Eventually, 'she' will capture someone and drag them back up the hill. The rest of us should move futher down the hill. 'She' needs the excercise, it will do her good to walk around. After all, she's been stuck in an office all day. Repeat the avoidance of torch burn when 'she' comes back. At this point 'she' will try and select the one of us 'she' thinks will make the others follow. Try and resist the temptation to follow. It is much better to let her select one, and then wait until she is almost at the gate, before all galloping up behind her and making her leap through the mud (hopefully getting covered in it!).
Once in the vicinity of the gate, DO NOT stand at the gate nicely waiting to to caught. Hide just around the corner, so each time 'she' has to walk back through the mud. The excercise will do her good.
Once everyone has been captured and installed in their stables, everyone must immediately make a fuss for being kept waiting so long for their supper.
