I thought popularity contests were left at school but apparrantly not..........
It amazes me how some people pick holes in some peoples horses whilst other posters horses are praised even when they're, shall we say, not perfect. I posted the other day asking for help with an advert and received a couple of comments that both upset and offended me.
1. I dont recall asking for people to pick holes or comment on her conformation or whether or not they would buy her, as far as I know advertising isn't allowed on this board. I was asking for help marketing her and an idea of price.
and 2. I once heard a saying that if you haven't something nice to say - dont say it. Everyones horses are their pride and joy, from the ugliest nag to the stunning show ponies and no-one wants to hear negative comments, unless they ask for it for appraisal purposes.
I for one do not believe that the perfect horse exists. I have yet to find one with 100% perfect conformation. The genetic lottery ensures that there WILL be some faults, even if they are minor. It is slightly my fault for putting them up, she isn't standing properly and she is actually straight, I will wait until her foal coat comes out and we'll see what you guys make of her then and perhaps some apologies will be in order.
That said there are some absolutely STUNNING horses on here too
