I am not sure if this is going to work, but was sent a video link via FB about a little chestnut mare in the US, who came out of her truck/trailer through the window. In true USA style, there were plenty of cowboys to help, and I thought I'd aske to see if anyone has seen it before, and if so maybe you are better at sharing it here as it is quite interesting to watch.

Sadly this could happen to anyone, and I think the cowboys did everything they could have done at the time.

Wow! I couldn't help but giggle, that poor thing! She looked so undignified! I'm glad everything turned out ok.

Ned freaked out after being left in a trailer alone and some how came out under the bar at the front (Not sure what that's called?) His back was completely skinned!

Can't see it as I'm not on Facebook although it says it;s been removed.

Good old cowboys who deal with it as though they help horses out of those kind of situations everyday! Luckily she stayed calm...my boy would have been flapping all over the place!

I know it sounds bad but at least my mare isn't the only one that does stupid things like that. In my experience with horses like that is when they know they are stuck they tend to keep quiet as they know that they are well and truly stuck and wait for help. Believe me my mare has done many stupid things.

Poor girl, Well done everyone to stay so calm.

Lucky horse.

Poor horse! One of the girls horses at the yard came through the jockey door of the trailer, a 16.2hh WB / cob

One of the liveries horses at my yard did the same a few years ago, a 16.2hh ID and he came out of it with just scratches. Apparently he got his head and shoulders through then just wriggled until the rest of him came out. (Trailer wasn't so lucky tho...the whole front panels had to be replaced.)

Looking at that vid, I think the mare looked like she had almost 'passed out' at times , probably from the presure of hanging out the window!

It was nice to see how calm everybody remained and I did feel for the lady taking the vid at it was obviously her horse. Bloody lucky escape and I bet the mare was sore for a while after!

yeahh i wondered if she'd passed out at times too. Shows the seriousness of the speed they had to get her out, so impressed with how calm everyone stayed. Glad the horse was okay, though how she didn't come away with more serious injuries i don't know!

Poor mare, they dealt with it well though, just the right sort of people to be around at a time like that.

I also witnessed a 17hh mare calmly walk up the ramp into a trailer, then continue to follow her owner straight out of the grooms door! The whole front of the trailer buckled, the horse simply continued to step through the door, squeeze herself out, then shake herself and calmly stand as if it had all been a perfectly normal thing to do.

Astonishly calm little horse. Half the time she has her ears pricked, looking around like she's just curious what will happen next.

I don't think I could have watched it if I'd been there. If I couldn't have done anything to help, I think I'd have got out of the way. Whoever filmed it seemed to be crying at the end.

Glad you have all 'liked' the video - well the ending was ok. Thankgoodness.

And a bump to those who haven't watched it yet.
Calm is the way forward!!
