How observant are you?

When the heck did this spot on his eye appear? Was it today? Last week? Last month? last year?!

Am I just super unobservant?! Would you have clocked this kind of change immediately?

Today

And the last good close up eye photo I can find from about 18months ago. Definitely no spot.

I’d like to think I was reasonably observant on important stuff, but that eye picture likely not notice unless the horse was giving me a specific cause to look.

I did have a WTF can’t you bite your carrot moment with my 3yo the other day which prompted me to look in her mouth (and then rapidly google to confirm it was normal!)

Bless. One of my Shetlands has just gone through this gummy phase. The other was quite ahead and lost his not long after turning 2.

I wouldn't have noticed the eye thing with one of mine as she doesn't like anyone up close to her face.

Baby teeth 😯😍
Yeah he isn’t a huge fan of me gazing into his eyes. Now I’m going to have to go stare at the others and get photos just in case I need to compare them later! The Shetlands have lovely eyes so I already have photos of them. One has a proper blue flash in his, and the other has a really dark indigo flash. It’s subtle but really lovely.

I’m impressed you ve got photos of eyes before to compare to be honest. Not overly observant I suspect …some days it’s just just head down and get done…others there’s more time and energy to be so.

It’s the sort if thing I’d suddenly notice but wonder if it’s always been there and I just hadn’t noticed before and wouldn’t be sure either way.
