How observant is your OH?

A couple of years ago i brought a13.2hh skewbald gelding as a project,to break to drive sold him, and got a 15.hh standerdbred gelding, bless him OH comes up the stables last week and said oh he's gone all brown what happen to his white bits lol,but to be fair we have been married 20 years and i have always had very long dark hair, got bored one day and had it all cut off and went blonde took him 2 weeks to notice, and all he said was have you done something different with your hair, doh hes such a man lol

this definitely takes the biscuit. does he need glasses by any chance?! ;) ;)

My OH is non-horsey and doesnt notice anything about tack or rugs or anything like that. Iv'e changed saddles and he has never realised.

He can seperate my horse from my mums horse which is pretty impressive as they are both chestnut Tb's although mine does have a blaze so maybe thats how he can tell?! He likes my horse and always says 'Jae's my man' lol.

When it comes to riding though he doesnt notice anything apart from when im going faster... He did come to watch me at a clinic the other day which is unheard of for him and he looked very interested in what was happening. When I asked him later on if he enjoyed it he said 'I thought it was great that the teacher could bully you and you took it, he made you canter round for ages and you didnt complain once, I've never heard you not complain'. Ha ha! Thats pretty observant in my book ;)

A friend was getting a new saddle but knew hubby would have a fit if he found out so she bought a disgusting new pink saddle cover and strategically placed old saddle on a stand in the boot room by his gun cupboard. Finally hubby asked if that was a new saddle "oh no" she replies quite honestly "its just a new cover", a week later the new saddle arrived and was placed in boot room, with same cover and to this day he has not realised it is a new one ;)

your friend is my new hero of the week. that is GENIUS! :D

I think I'm making progress with my OH. He doesn't like animals full stop...but on Friday I caught him leaning on Skye's stable door watching her. He still won't touch her but it was a slightly soppy moment.
