I school 2-4 times a week depending on days off etc. I vary what I work on, use poles, games, fast sessions, slow sessions and jump once a weekish, my sessions can vary from 15 mins to 45 mins depending on how quickly we get it right. I lunge once every couple of weeks or if I have specific problem. I try to hack at least twice a week and he gets one or two days off a week.
jerry usually gets schooled 4-5 days a week. what we depends on my work shifts. jumping sessions are an hour Inc warmup and flatwork is usually 45 mins.
I lunge and freeschool about once a month - I think he enjoys the variety
I freeschooled tonight and we ended up playing games
Relly depends on what issues my horses are throwing up - physically! So there have been times when schooling in a manege just hasn't been right for them, although we have still schooled out hacking. Right now we're back in the school three times a week, working on basic flat, raised pole work and lunging off two reins. Do try to keep it varied as one of my horses is a real thinker and soon gets bored.
4-5 times a week but it can be more like 6 depending on what's happening during the week. Unfortunately my horse hates to hack alone (I think he generally finds it boring even if I add a gallop and schooling into it! ) so am limited to hacking in company - I must add here that I've tried for 2 years to get this horse out alone even back to long reining but it never made a difference.
I vary the schooling by either being in the school or out in a field, weather permitting. Use lots of pole work, jumping, transitions and am always trying to think of new exercises, even if there is no point to them other than to have a bit of fun! These sessions last upto an hour but sometimes are only 15mins long if hes being very good. Sometimes lunge but max. once a week.
When Kel was in work, we only schooled a max of 3 times a week purely because she is a difficult horse to school and hates it! She loves her hacking and that keeps her fit.
The other mare gets schooled 5-6 times a week maybe, she LOVES to work.

I work on a 2 week rota thingy, so;
Week 1; 2 days flatwork, 1 day jumping, 1 hack and 1 lunging day
Week 2; 1 flatwork, 2 jumping, 1 hack and 1 lunging day
It means i can consintrate more on flatwork one week and jumping the next ... Oh and it keeps her confidence up when jumping It will change next year when shes older though.
At the moment I'm hacking 5 days a week. We are both bored stupid . I don't have a school at the yard. Can hire 1 very close by but is obviously a bit costly to hire several times a week so I would like to make it worth my while when I do hire it. We are both stale and fed want to spice it up a bit .
2 times ridden.
2 times lunged/ long reined/ hacked in hand
1 day off
1 day competing
1 'fun' day- hacking/ beach ride/ boxing to a nicer hacking place
Sometimes he doesn't get a fun day because we are out training/ competing twice but if that happens he gets an extra day off.
I don't tend to hack much as he gets so anxious and there is no one who has a horse that is suitable to hack with or wants to hack with me.
