Just curious really!

I tend to wash mine after a week of use (ridden in about 5 times) unless they were to get really sweaty in one session in which case I would put it in the wash after that ride.

What do you do?

Changed after every ride

Little Cob - every ride.

Little Lad - every ride.

Both get so sweaty!

Dizz has a new snazzy Numed half wool saddle cloth thingy, so washing is a bit more time consuming

. Hm. Must go buy another one?

Blimey- I don't think Gingas every day one has ever been washed

Its only because I have a (not very) secret obsession for buying numnahs/bandages so I need to use them all

So do I, I had 21 saddle cloths (just for Charlie!) at my last count!

They are all going on ebay tomorrow though except for about 5 that I will still use!

Difficult to say

- my sheepskin ones get washed when they need it (depends on how much sweat etc) but its probably not more than once a month

(don't use on GP saddle in summer - its for toasty winter riding) as only on stressage saddle. The cotton saddle cloths get washed pretty much every ride due to sweaty beasts - they both need some more.

When it smells...yuck...need to wash it more often. The white dressage one gets washed after every show, or 2 if we're lucky.

At work we wash them everyday but we use the yards polypads on everything unless they have to have a special numnah. If the horses haven't sweated to much we will use the same polypad on 2 different horses, changing sides.
At home, I am really bad as I don't tend to change nummahs that often, about once every 2 weeks. But I do brush them down and air them so they dry properly between uses.

Every couple of rides though everytime if very sweaty. I use the Nuumed everyday numnahs which wash and dry easily.

Can anyone recommend one of those washbag thingys - I'm sick of horse hair in the washing machine

Same as you. Ditto re girths as well.

I use polypads and tend to let them go once or twice on each side
