I try to ride/lunge 3-4 days per week but it's very hard with working 44hrs plus per week.

Would you say this is the norm/what you do?

Mine are done 4 x a week (I've got 2) and I work a min of 50 hours. BUT I am on full livery AND I nab someone to ride one so they can hack out together.

It can be very hard! As long as horse is fit enough to do what you want to, and isn't stood in on the days you don't exercise, I don't think it matters whether they are done 3 or 6. As long as it works!

I average approx 50hr a week, and I have 3 on DIY.

I ride them 4/5 days a week and will either lunge or chuck them on the walker the other days.
During the summer they're only ridden 4 days a week, I somehow manage to keep them fit enough to compete.

Working livery! So he gets ridden most days, 2x at the weekend by me in term time. Hopefully we'll be able to go out on our own soon, so I will go up once in the week if I can leave early. I go up every day in the school holidays, pretty much.

I normally only ride a couple of days a week during winter but now it is lighter in the evening I am hoping to ride 4-5 times a week.

In the summer its easier with the lighter evenings but during the winter I ride whenever I can - which can be once a week or not at all if the weathers bad. We don't have a floodlit school so its literally just the weekends from October to March.

Now its lighter i'll try to ride a couple of times in the week as well, but I know how hard it can be to find the motivation when you've had a long day at work and sometimes I find that i'm simply too tense and wound up and its better to just spend time grooming them instead.

Now where do you find these rich husbands with loads of land??? ;)

I was dead proud of myself this winter, went from being self employed to working a 38hr full time job and an 8-10hr pw part time self employed job teaching fitness classes, and managed to ride my horse 5-6 days a week. I did have to ride in the school in the dark for half of it, but he has come out of winter super fit.

He isn't great with too many days off when its cold so its in my interests to keep his workload up...bit tiring tho!

When I was competing I used to ride more, but now (putting aside the fact that I struggle to get in the school!) I tend to loose school or lunge during the week, and then ride at weekends.

I try to ride 5 times a week for 45 mins to an hour but if I don't manage to ride then I at least do some groundwork with him.

I work 40 hours a week and do varying shifts

I manage to ride 6 days a week mostly schooling or lunging during the week may fit the odd hack prior or after work and then hack weekends, I work 50+ hours Week but have flexibility as I organise my own workload, so if I'm away for a night I plan so I ride prior to going then she will have her day off if that makes sense....people at my yard think I'm mad when they find out I've fed the yard, mucked out and ridden by the time they turn up at 7am!! my horse is my stress relief from my stressful job so it's all worthwhile....

I don't see much of my house! I eat, sleep and wash there and that's about it!

I work 8.30-6 every day plus on call. I try to ride or lunge 3-4 days in the week plus both days at the weekend, but it really depends on the time of year and what my plans are.

Between october and february I am stuck with the school, but the rest of the year it is light enough that I can do a 45 min hack before work so he gets more variety then.

Edited to add - the yard is 15 mins drive from both work and home, so I have to factor travelling time in!

Winter - ride both days at the weekend and try and sneak out early for a quick 20mins once a week if I can.

Summer - ride 4-6 times a week, lunge if I am in a rush. I tend to go by what the weather does and make sure horse gets at least 1 day off a week. I don't beat myself up over it - if I haven't time then that's that. I used to keep horse at a yard frequented by ladies who didn't seem to work at all, or just part-time, and they used to criticise me all the time for not riding enough!

I work with horses 40 hours a week. I have 2 horses at 2 yards I tend to ride each one a minimum of 4 times a week but I really try to ride my younger one 5times if poss.

I try not to worry if life takes over sometimes you just cant do everything, but generally I manage it. I dont have much of a social life.

I keep one of my horses at work which makes life easier. The other is about 20mins away. I do one in the morning and one at night although it does vary depending what hours I work
