Just a musing really. There is a really good mobile mechanic that comes to you. He came to yard today and did 6 trailers. I used to have to take it the place which was a hastle and then you didn’t have trailer for a week. So this guy did mine 18 months ago. He said he will pop me a reminder in a year. Do people generally got for the year interval? So much easier just taking the lock off the trailer and leaving him to it!

I usually get mine serviced annually. I prefer to take it to the trailer place for thorough check. It was left longer this time as wasn't used last year and I'm so glad I did as the axles had gone rotten and needed to be replaced.

Annually, typically sometime in February so just before the season starts and when it has been sat with little use over winter.

When it was on the road once a year, always around now in readiness for getting out and about. I have given up horses but still have the trailer sat a a friends place being used as a hay store, it's scary how quickly it wen#t from being in perfect order to I wouldn't dare put a horse in it! The brakes seized first and over the last few years the tyres have really bad flat sopts and the walls have cracked, but it'll be sold as scrap eventually ...

When it’s in use all year round it gets looked at twice. In the autumn it has a pre winter health check to pick up any niggles from lots of summer use and then in the spring it gets a full service.
