Just wondering as I have a brush dodger in the field

I groom both of my horses every day. If I'm not riding and I'm in a rush I'll just give them a quick flick over to get the mud/dust off, but I generally give them both a full groom...*polishes halo*

At the moment as they live out 24/7 it is every time I ride, which this week has been every day. They are a bit itchy and grumpy as they loose their winter coats, and really enjoy it.

none of the above, I really dont see them in the week ATM as OH feeds them on his way home from work, I give Bear a good thorough brush whenever he's ridden, mud scraper, dandy brush, hair brush and soft brush (in that order)!! And the other 2 get brushed once a week ATM, its a bit hard to give them all the same amount of attention, Im trying to do more with the colt and let my little girl fart about with Bud's on the wkends.

ROLL ON SUMMER!!!!

Everyday, but it isn't always a "proper" groom - particularly this time of year it often turns into a "scratch here mum ... now here ... just do this bit ... oh yes!!!!" session. Sadly this doesn't leave them looking as clean & shiny as getting the mud off & then body brushing would but they enjoy it a lot more

I don't tend to groom before I ride (YO brushes them off when bringing them in). I do give him a thorough groom after riding though. He's lost a lot of his winter coat, but his early October clip is still clearly visible!

Dreamer get's a reasonably thorough brush when I ride (which hasn't been much this past 2 weeks). I generally leave him to "be a horse" in the winter anyway and keep him a bit more spruced in the summer!

D falls into the 'brush dodging, mud wallowing hippo's don't need grooming' category:o

He seems to think that he is a wild horsey now so the only human contact he needs is to be fed

Oh, and occasionally he will come over just to head butt you out the way

Monty gets a brush most days although I think I have only brushed his tail once since I have had him which is nearly a year

Where do you all get time to groom twice a day?! In the winter I tend to groom quickly a couple of times a week, properly when I ride...however in the summer I am religious and groom everyday to keep that gorgeous shine!

I groom when I ride, which is most days to be fair. In the winter when they come in at night (Nov - Feb really) they get a brush over everyday but again only a proper groom when ridden!!

Both groomed every day when I am feeling up to it. That means feet picked out, mane brushed, and coat brushed with shedding blade and dandy brush, because they both live out

Mine live out 24/7 so I try to limit how much grooming I do! 2 are retired natives so they rarely get much of a groom TBH, although I do try to regularily pick out their feet and spray them to keep thrush away. The other 3 are rugged up (full necks) so TBH their bodies just get a quick brush over (they stay clean underneath) when I ride. And just brush their leg where I put boots on. I dont do anything with manes and tails until weekends when they compete.
