How often do you have lessons?

Half an hour every two to three weeks. It's to keep me sane. Seriously! :p

I don't have my own horse but I sort of share my mum's (who used to be mine anyway), but she can only hack anyway. So my lessons aren't to benefit her really, they're because I love having lessons :)

I pay £25 for half an hour, supposed to be about £40 for 45 mins but my instructor usually gets carried away with me and carries on for ages :D (helps that I'm usually last one riding and put my own horse away afterwards!)

I would love to have one or two half hour lessons a week, if I could afford it. Then again, if I was that made of money I'd have my own anyway ;)

I have one a week, and try and have a lunge once every three or four months. I've recently got back into riding after a 6 year gap and my RI bullied me into lunge but they've worked magic with all the bad habits I had/have!

Am thinking of asking for a jumping lesson as well once every three weeks or so as I've never had the chance before to do anything other than tiny 6-inch crosspoles!

I'm having two a week atm and we are really enjoying ourselves so will keep it up until we get bored and/or run out of money. My horse loves work and I love learning plus aiming to compete more this year.

I have a small school at my yard but prefer to go elsewhere for lessons. My flatwork lesson with a great instructor who is only 10 mins away on the trailer is £20 per hour or £12.50 each if I share with a friend. I've had a SJ lesson today, 3 in the group, this cost £18.00 each and my typical shared XC lesson is £25 for hour and half though prefer XC on my own but that's £40 so something I can't afford too often.

Also now diesel is so expensive I have to factor that in too..

Hi there, I have group lessons once a week, and then private lessons in between when I can. For the summer months I go twice per week and also to Adult Camps which are held during the year plus to all shows held at the yard. I don't have a horse at the moment.:)

Once a week if I can, £15 for half hour, but its a good half hour, usually 45mins!! I had a lesson with a great instructor in our area and she charged £45 for half an hour, the lesson was great but she taught exactly the same as my instructor! Needless to say I stuck with the cheaper lesson!

Used to have them twice a week but at a reduced cost through local club. Now just a happy hacker slowly bringing daughter's ponio back into work after a DDFT operation in September last year.
When I was in work, daughter used to have lessons 3 times a week. twice through the club and 1 private with a Grand Prix rider. Not expensive at 40 euros for 45 minutes but we had to travel to them.
About to become a member of the working fraternity again - Whoopeee!!! so she'll be getting regular lessons again. I may even send her back for another 1 week dressage clinic at Academy Bartels (Imke and Tineke) as that was fantastic last year.
I don't mind forking out for her as she is very very passionate about dressage even now at almost 17 years.

my RI is a friend. I normally have about 2 a week on my horse at £10 for as long as it takes. (She also helps me clip and trim all mine out) And I normally go up to her yard and help out with her youngsters and other horses so it depends on whats happening that week. All the experience counts! And its paying off!! :D
