how often do you use ?

bungees when schooling ? i took my horse to a show on sunday and the judge said hewas heavy in the hand, he has improved loads since inve started my lessons but thought using them would give me a helping hand ? how often would you reccomend i use them ?

I wouldnt! They just make them heavy in the hand or fight the contact. If yours is heavy in the hand you need to be doing loads of transitions and getting them off your leg.

Never - don't use any 'extras' personally other than side reins

agree totally !! sorry dont use them it will only make things worse or cover up the real problems !!

Never ,nasty things in my opinion worse than draw reins as you can't alter or feel them in any way.

Will definitly make your guy deaden to the hand, opposite of what you want.

I would get some lessons, do some transitions and use plenty of leg! Bungees can also encourage a horse to be very snatchy!

thanks everyone, i have never used and 'gadgets' before, i dont even use a martingale for jumpng, ive always been under the impression that if you dont ned them then dont use them, but someone suggested the bungees to me... thanks for the input i ma having regular lessons now so hopefully i will see things improving !!!
