How often do you wash your rugs ?

Turnouts don't get cleaned that often as obviously it affects the waterproofing. If they show any sign of leaking then they get cleaned & proofed. As for stable rugs, they get washed whenever they need it. Ad you are all aware they can get minging very quickly. I've inherited a washing machine from a friend & am setting it up in my garage for washing horse things. :)
 
H/W turnouts get done at the end of the winter when they are reproofed as well then stored away until the are needed. M/W and L/W get done a couple of times a year.

Fleeces, Coolers and Summer sheets I wash myself, they get washed after each event and these are put in the travelling bag. Those I use on a day to day bases will get washed once a month. Saddle cloths get washed weekly as I have three sets per saddle. The exercise sheets gets done a couple of times a week if it has been very muddy.

It is like the dog beds and coats it is healthy to keep them clean.
 
Never unless they need re-proofing, just give them a light brush over to get the mud off, and the insides are never hairy & gunky as I only use a no-fill - 70g :D
