and how often SHOULD you worm dogs?

I think I've been really bad. I looked back im my diary and haven't wormed Ebby for, ummm a year! (Well, Feb 2010!)
Feeling bad, and no doubt Ebby will have tummy ache later as I put 2 worm tablets down her chops this morning.
Oooppsss.

I never worm mine.

Part of me thinks there is no harm in missing 'months/years or never'. Wild dogs don't get wormed, but on my annual trip to the vets for jabs in August I always get asked about 'have I wormed her'. Always say yes. Normally I worm the dog when I worm the horses, which is twice a year, but is this a yay or nay thing to do?

I have a fecal done twice a year with mine when we are at the vets for check-ups just like a worm count and they eat countless dead things out on walks and are fed raw and they have never had worms.

I am not comfortable pumping my dogs full of chemicals they don't need.

Never/v rarely. The every 3 months is a bit like the "rinse and repeat" on shampoo bottles IMO. :) And yearly injections...thats another scam in my book!

I feel the same re vacinatons but I have no evidence on the matter and therefore I am not comfortable excluding vacinations just yet.

As for worming I don't see the point in three monthly a wormer only clears what's there at the time and dogs can go back the next day to eat that mangy rabbit and reinfest.

I will do it 6 monthly.
