just wondering how often it is they get trimmed/reshod?
who comes to see them?
if they have any foot problems?
what sort of foot care you give?

mine are all BF,seen by farrier every 5 weeks.
one has a foot problem which is slowly improving(cracks and weak heels)
am thinking about going every 6 weeks with them if the 2yo can go that long-her feet grow SO fast!.
they get their feet washed clean before bedtime
kevin bacon dressing put on as often as possible(about 3-4 x week) only just started doing this so will wait and see if it improves the cracks.
they also get s spray with disinfectant 3x week.

Mine is shod every 6 weeks to the day, without fail. In the winter she would probably go longer, but it's just easier for me this way, and I would rather have her done early rather than late.

I don't do much else to her feet, and have no problems *touches wood*. If the summer is dry I might put some hoof dressing on to stop her feet drying out, but that's it really

Both mine are seen by the Farrier every 7 weeks, A generally only needs a trim every 14 weeks but is seen at 7 weeks regardless to make sure he is ok, P every 7 weeks on the dot

Mine get shod anywhere between 5-10 weeks dependng on time of year, work rate and ground conditons. Both of mine have excellent feet and have never had any problems.

Remember good feet come from inside!

Every 5 weeks. Filly is having remedial shoes in front, and I have her dam done at the same time. Mare could go longer but it's cheaper to have them done at the same time.

My horse gets shod every 5 weeks, he doesn't really have any problems anymore. I put Kevin Bacon on throughout the summer.
My pony gets trimmed every 10-12 weeks, any sooner and there isn't anything to take off!

Sunny is shod every 7 weeks. Angel is a sturdy barefoot native. So far, hasn't needed to be shod. Was trimmed a couple of times when she first arrived but her work keeps her feet neatly in trim and she hasn't needed the farrier for a year!

Feet picked out and inspected every day.

Shod every 6 weeks without fail summer and winter. He has to have remedial farriery and shoes due to side bone and foot imbalance at the front.

He has spiral shoes and horizontal cuts made into his hoof wall to help with concussion absorption under the side bone site.

Farrier, every six weeks to the day. Pro feet in feed to promote growth and quality. Good additional clean off with Hibiscrub once a week to keep thrush away.

As they say no foot no horse so mine is seen to every 5 weeks - he only has fronts but has a trim at back and general hoof check to make sure no signs of anything going on that I have not noticed.

He has just lost a shoe so farrier is coming a few days early this time and thought might as well get him reshod and trim while he is here!

every 6 weeks, but will start to leave it 7 as his feet are in such good condition.
i dont do any extras, most farriers tell me not to bother.

Our barefoot horses are trimmed every 5 weeks by a barefoot trimmer. Our shod horses are shod every 6 weeks without fail.

Farrier comes approx every 12 weeks to trim - they're all barefoot atm. Feet get picked out a couple of times a week and my lad has his scrubbed with hibiscrub every so often as he has had thrush in the past and this seems to keep it away. He's also fed F4F as his hooves were appalling when I first bought him. They're much improved now but I'm keeping him on it just to be safe!

Horses in work - when we can hear loose shoes or feet look a bit long, which is usually 6-8 weeks.

"Wild" ones in field, when they look like they need it.

Feet trimmed avery 6 weeks or so (depends on when half term is, so I can be there), picked out twice a day and treated with life-data hoof disinfectant 3 times a week. Despite all of this, she still has mild, chronic thrush in one front foot!!!!!

My two are barefoot. They are trimmed every 7 - 9 weeks depending on how their feet are. Feet are picked out most days and if very wet conditions, I will on occasion put stockholm tar on the frogs and clefts.

They are fed black sunflower seeds which gives them rock hard hooves. If very dry in summer I will use something to stop them drying out completely but they rarely need this doing.

My section C is not shod and is seen by the farrier as and when she needs it. I am very lucky with her feet and can get away with her only being seen every few months in the winter, in the summer they do grow quicker and are seen more regularly tho!
However my other mare has to be shod every 6 weeks without fail, occasionally she can go 7 weeks if we're lucky!!

Mine both have really good feet and go 8 weeks in the winter and 7 weeks in the summer. They both have rode studs in which really help because they a lot of hacking out.
