I have some new last year lister liberty clippers. I have done 2 full clips (without legs) and 2 chest and belly clips and the blades seem to need sharpening.is this normal? Thanks

This answer may or may not be what you were wanting to hear but it is probably as relevant as it gets.

Time and clips are not the most important factor in a blade going blunt really, by a long shot!

Clipping perfectly clean groomed horse, correct tension and plenty of good quality oil will mean your blades last for many, many clips. How ever, clip a dirty horse with too much tension, little or no oil, (suitable oil or not) your blades will only do a clip, maybe 2.

To answer your query, if you clipped with correct tension and oiled your blades often and your horse was somewhere near clean then you were probably just short changed, however if you clipped to the contraray you probably did reasonably well.

Hope that helps!
