I have subbed for fortnightly as I didn't think I'd have the time and cash for any more frequent outings. However opening meet reminded me how much I love it and am already wondering can I manage weekly :)

Just wondered, how often you will be out, on the same or different steeds?

Weekly I hope, with the odd weekday, and a few extra over Christmas, with my cob. He loves it and I have to be the sensible one, saying when he's had enough...
I've been told several times, and last year made it very true.... "What you don't get done before Christmas you won't get done after" so determined to get as many early season days in as possible before the snow or frost sets in.

Hopefully once or twice a week depending on were meets are, we have very large hunt country, will b my third time out this week tomorrow tho and I foot followed last sat. I have got one loan horse and due to my spotty pony doin a check ligament and havin to be off this season :( I am also gettin some catch rides on other ponies, will ride near enough anything out hunting tbh, and get out as much as poss, think did 21 meets out Autum Hunting. :))

just got the one horse who hunts and he hasn't done it for years so taking it a bit easy at the moment. Trying to go on average once a fortnight, but will be doing a few more in dec/jan providing the weather holds up. Have paid subs so gotta make the most of them!

As many days as I can manage :P i.e once a week at least often two, though I do have access to several horses and am hunting the baby's this year so plenty around to take my pick, I'm very lucky to have such good owners.

too true!!

I'm hoping to be out approx twice weekly until Christmas and weekly after that... not using one's holidays all year has its advantages! ;)

daughter has been out weekly this season - can't do weekdays because of school. She has been every week since the autumn hound exercise started.

However - she hasn't been for the last 2 weeks because her dad (who takes her) has been beating at the local shoot, and the next 2 weeks she will miss as well. Just the way it goes really, but hopefully she will be out again at the beginning of December.

She and her horse love it and they stay out all day. A few weeks ago she jumped a hedge which we estimated at 1.60m !

I autumn hunted twice a week but since term has started I've been manageing to go once a week/fortnight (final year of uni means lots of work!) I'll be back to twice/ maybe even 3 times a week during the holidays!!

Not enough! Boooo

I have a new Mare and she could really do with taking out 3 days a week for a month or so! ;)
I'm trying to find willing volunteers! (shes not a monster!)

But as much as I can afford - I will keep telling myself those wise words about Christmas, and save money hard!!!

:confused:Is it a totally stupid request to ring the secretary and ask if she knows someone sensible who might be able to take my horse out for me??? (its only because I dont have the time or money! - but the mare loves it so much it would be good for her) :o

Once a week sometimes 5 times a month. Depending on when and where. I'm only a foot follower or use the quad so don't have the expense of running a horse.
