Every 5 weeks for mine. Was every 4 weeks when we had Murph, because he had remedial shoeing. Used to be 7-8 weeks though! Dont know why they cant go that long any more!
Mine is barefoot (not worked) and gets done whenever she needs to be done, but no longer than two months. Her feet were so badly broken last time though and had to be cut back so short to stop further cracking, that she probably won't need doing until the last minute. Damn farriers choose the best times to go on holiday and hold up your routine!
Mine is every 8 weeks. When I got him it was every 5-6 weeks but his feet have improved loads now and he wears over reach boots 24/7 to stop him pulling his shoes off
Almost all of my horses are barefoot and during the summer and winter months they are trimmed every 5 weeks; during spring and fall they are trimmed every 6 weeks.
every 6-8 weeks, he has one 12 before, he feet just wouldn't grow, and although the shoes were a little too worn for my liking his feet were not growing over them
He is now going barefoot, just to see how things go, as he doesn't have back shoes on. His back feet have gotten so much better since we took his shoes off we decided to go barefoot on all 4!!
Henry gets done every 6 weeks, but he'd sometimes go longer I think. I share a farrier with Orange Empire so Henry just slots in when one of her oranges needs doing!
Mine are barefoot so are done as and when needed. Harry is done more often at the moment while the nail holes grown out, whereas new mare may be fine with longer gaps between trims (never worn shoes)
was every 4 weeks now up to every 6 weeks!! building it up slowly! bracken has cr*p feet! and they take ages to grow and as she isnt ridden the shoes dont wear down!! they are getting better though!!
