How old are your old Cats?

We have had 3 previous cats - all had good innings. The youngest to go was Tigger, he was 19 when we had him PTS as he had kidney disease. Kelly (not named by us!) lived the grand old age of 23, she died in her sleep one night all curled up and comfy with no other health conditions known, we assumed she must have had some kind of cardiac arrest or something. Binks was 19 and fit and a flea until the day he died, he sat in the wrong place on the drive one day and my poor mum accidentally ran him over (he was deaf and couldn't hear the car) but we think he would have gone on forever if not.

None of them had ever had any injections and except Tigger (who had a few injuries now and then) they had never been to the vets.

I lost my Old Codger Cat last year at 18, which wasn't too bad considering the vet gave him six months to live when he was 10! His dodgy kidneys finally packed in, and it was time for him to go. Over the years, he'd survived being shot twice, being run over, and came away victorious from fights with rats, seagulls, a sparrowhawk, and a fox (that he brought home to show off).

He sounds like a legend
