How old is this foal?

My dad was recently ski mountaineering in rural Turkey, and he came across this little mare and foal on the side of the road. He was asking me how old I thought it was.

I'm no expert but I thought pretty young given the state of the mare, but that may be misleading as it's not clear how often she'll have been checked on. Any thoughts?

(also just to add, Dad has a large zoom on his camera so he was not as close as these pictures suggest)

Judging by the fact that the mare still seems wet behind, I'd say born the night before, so hours.

Agree with above, foal still seems from the pictures to be tucked up and unbalanced so would say 24 hours tops...
