How old...

...does a horse have to be before it goes from a 'yearling' to 'rising two'???

Silly post ;)

The following year after its a yearling. Flamehead you are really beginnig to bug me. You are never off this forum tonight, grow up and stop posting stupid inane posts.

*ignores pastie*

tonitot I was just thinking about it earlier and now its annoying me lol! I suppose that technically they're a yearling throughout the whole of their second year, i.e. 12 months to 24. Maybe rising 2 is when they're over 18months?

cbmcts - so Puzzle is 2 years in June, so she'll be rising two in january? You sound like you know what you're talking about ;)

She is in her yearling year this year as it is the year she turned 1. 2011 will be her 2 year old year. Use the prefix "rising" to let people know horse is in its 2 year old year but hasnt reached its actual birthday.
