Are they still wanted by people?!!

Just advertised mine this week, i'm hoping for some viewings over the weekend. Had loads of emails. When I got mine it was like hens teeth, hopefully I will get some peeps to see it on Sunday. Maybe I am just too impatient! I always thought as the payload is so good they are great for big horses and lady drivers. Well fingers crossed then!

I thought they were popular, having said that do they have any more paye load than a 7.5 ton lorry? We considered one but we only carry 2 horses but still went for a 7.5 ton

I was hoping mine would sell quickly but unfortunately it hasn't.

I had many emails but no viewings, I'm not sure if she's over priced but dropped it and still nothing!

Luckily I'm in no hurry to sell so will stick it out till the new year.

Best if luck

When I was looking they were impossible to find. What's not to like , easy to drive , great payload and enough space for the odd overnight. Think the whole lorry market is very slow not just 6.5. Good luck

I had a 6.6t Merc and loved it loads of payload but compact. Mine was a very well designed build and very reliable (my friend bought it off me and still has it) so it wasn't the weight that was the sole factor in buying it.

Wish I could have afforded to keep it at the time. :)

Well I'm thinking of getting one next year and selling my 3.5t, but the ones I've been looking at are all really expensive! I want one to carry two horses,so something ideally with a 2t payload, but I don't need the living that is generally in a 7.5t - I can't seem to see any anywhere within my price bracket!

It took six months of constant searching for me to find a nice 6.5 horsebox - I absolutely LOVE mine. Am I right in thinking yours is a trophy twin coop? Im sure you'll have no bother selling it at all if its in good nick :)

Trouble is that with the pool of peeps able to drive above 3.5T without an addittional test shrinking year by year, and the consequent glut of 7.5T lorries, prices of 7.5Ts are pretty depressed, which has a knock on effect as some people dont mind if 5.5, 6.5 or 7.5 as long as the box is solid and the price is right.

However it should still be saleable to someone who can drive up to 7.5T but wants something a bit easier/shorter to manoeuvre and is therefore loooking specifically for a 5.5 or 6.5T. And a good one would make more than the same lorry in 7.5T guide.

We've been looking for one since April and only been to see two. They all seem to be too old or too high-a-mileage.

Also quite a few seem to have huge living and then barely any space for the horses. The search continues...

Its a copy of a Trophy Twin by Wrights Engineering, I have had loads of emails and calls and someone is planning coming on Sunday, so fingers crossed. Its such a nice box, far easier to drive than the 7.5 I have brought!! The living is only 4.5 feet but has everything you need. I like the fact that is so manouverable, being only 20 foot long! Its been well looked after and is safe for the horses. It has a 2.25 tonne payload which is the other bonus of a 6.5!! Will be a sad day when it goes :(
