how riding should and shouldn't be!

tbh ive only really just joined the forums so i thought i'd get some replies and yes i dont belive in horse crulety like this determined to get it recognised that riding can be beutiful as long as it is done propely and not like this!

Y'know what, people are human, sometimes we screw up... Some of those photos are unfortunate incidents, some are fine (eg the horseball and polo ones ) and some show the effects of misused spurs or bits, which is rubbish, yes.

TBH honey, if you know anything at all about horses, posting videos like that is pointless... we are all horse lovers on here, and obviously that aint the way to do it... kind of doesnt need saying ya know!?

By the most horse-huggly horsie community in the entire world???

This is what I think riding should be like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8M2-ywH2CU&list=WLAB533E54181F7BEB&feature=mh_lolz (jokes jokes. I'm not that vain)

Just looks like a random bunch of photos of horses being pulled in the mouth, taken off the internet and stuck together.

I'm sure it's meant to prove something, but to me it doesn't.

(Although I admit I couldn't be bothered to watch it to the end.)

OP, don't you have any homework or anything to be doing? There is also a common room board on this forum you may be more suited to...

Or at least contain your one girl crusade to one thread - pretty please?

You know Wonderhorse, you've been posting a lot of threads like these and you'd do a lot more actual good to horses by publicising or even better, donating to or even even better, volunteering with a reputable charity which spends money on helping horses.

There is real, tangible neglect and cruelty going on not to far away from where we are all sitting, much, much worse than horses getting pulled around the mouth, and we can all do something about it.

But hey, some people prefer to look at/post pictures and videos on the internet and act all outraged.

some of these are really horrible, whats the point in riding if your not going to do it properly!

How old are you? You are either very very young or not a rider. Either way, we all try to ride properly, sometimes **** happens, you would be better applying yourself to some real cruelty.

BTW your bonkers Mr Nezvorow has decided riding in general is now not a good thing for the horse, kind of negates your comment.

Perhaps we should have a thread with all our "unfortunate" photos on it. :D:eek:

Perhaps OP has never got left behind, lost their balance or become unseated when their horse shies and just for a moment, pulled on his mouth?

If indeed OP has ever been on a horse.

My presence on this forum is like one long tale, told in photos of my horrible riding.

It has been commented on before that, according to this forum, I spend absolutely no time actually sitting the saddle - I am always either left behind, or hanging off the side

Really glad you said you were joking - you need to gain control over your lower leg, you are banging the horse at every stride, have some lunge lessons without stirrups to improve your balance.

Lazy horse - was purposely banging with every stride :). He's 17hh of pure lazy fat - love him regardless. Do have a weekly lunge lessons (and 2 dressage lessons) and was joking. However wasn't asking for crit. Your turn to post something for me to tear apart:p?

I agree with the comments above. i found some of the 'tricks' like the belly one, and the bowing one as difficult to look at as the bleeding mouth. It just seems really degrading for the horses and they don't look like they enjoy doing them. If you freeze framed and did close ups of the horses faces during those tricks they would look stressed and unhappy.

Oh she has, the videos and photos are there for all to see  in her webby link - easy enough to find her youtube channel from that. Like I said, young and novice but means well I'm sure :)

Ah, I hadn't done any research, I was just going on her last couple of posts. Now I'm curious enough to go look at her stuff. ;)

It occures to me that if OP's posts are an attention-seeking ploy, they have worked. :D
