I have been sent abroad for work for a week - alright for some I hear you cry!
It's glorious, the sun is shining, the work is interesting, accommodation nice, the people are lovely oh and my yard has been robbed.
I was a little worried about leaving them as B2 can be a bit funny with other people if they approach him, he once chased PingPongPony round the field ears back and the next time ran away from her shaking despite her being nice to him at all times! Additionally L has not been very well over the last few months with one thing and another but was looking quite good when I left.
I have left them with a fab friend to look after them so I was less worried when I got here. Anyway I sopke to one of the girls yesterday and apparently we have been broken into. Not loads taken, and rather strange selection of items. No one is sure what of mine is missing but PPP tells me L's brand new lightweight has gone.
She's 32 and arthritic, I try to keep her dry so that her joints don't hurt. Additionally she has cushings and liver issues both of which make her prone to being too hot/are made worse by being too hot. The new rug was expensive (to me on my budget) and perfect weight for her but I can't seem to find the same online to have delivered next day to her so I am away, and she is making do with less than perfect stuff.
She is due for PTS Nov 1st if she looks anything less than great as I am not putting her through winter unless she can definitely do it. I can't believe someone has done this to her on potentially her last summer. Poor little old L.
Does anyone know of an affordable no fill but waterproof turn out rug? This was a shires, last years model and it was great, almost fully waterproof but no lining or fill so not hot. It was not actually that expensive in the grand scheme of things but as she may not be here for long replacing it will be a lot to spend given her age. I don't think there is enough of mine missing to warrant an insurance claim but I won't know till I get home!
Ok rant over. Thanks for listening. Sangria for those who got this far (after work obviously!)
