How rugged up are all yours today?

well, both of mine are in at the mo- we've got about 3'' of snow (not much) but i know that Red will gallop like a loony and Solo will stand at the gate and sulk.
They both have a 400g stable rug on, Sol has a 300g underrug on and Red has a 180g underrug on. When they do go out after dinner they'll have their underrugs and a 350g turnout on.

Mine is out in her high neck 360g t/o...may oncider putting a fleace on tomorrow as It's meant to get colder here I think.
She's a welsh cross..full clipped
She's in at night with her 370g full neck stable rug

Mine is out 24/7. He was fully clipped in Feb (but trying to grow his coat back quickly!):

Today he is wearing a 300g full neck rug because whilst it is very wet it's not windy or cold. Overnight he had a 200g under-rug on as well and this will be put back on underneath this evening.

Bare naked!

They have been that way all winter long. Mine are unclipped but I have them rugged up when in the stable as they are all OAPs and need to be kept warm while standing still.

My yard is horrified at my poor horse, who was last clipped in october, out with a 370g no neck

I'm sure they think the same about me at my yard, Ralph has an adapted trace/racing clip (my own invention

) and is in a middle weight as his coat is growing out.

I dont believe in over rugging horses, there is nothing worse than being too hot, at least we can remove clothing, if your horse gets too hot he has to suffer!

little one is unclipped & in her hw wug combo, think jay will have his mw masta & hw weatherbeeta combo on, sharers day so not been up

Same as they have been day in, day out, for the last few months: Both out 24/7 in one heavyweight, full neck rambo rug each. Star was clipped earlier in the winter, November I think, and Be has not been clipped at all as she grows very little winter coat. Fed twice a day and lots of good haylage and they are warm and looking good

Mine are all out 24/7 and non are clipped.
Mule - naked
Old cob 200g full neck
3 X donks summer (no fill) turnouts
Old donk - 200g no neck.

Mine have been out pretty much 24/7 this winter.Flint has a full clip and is sportng a Weatherbeeta Orion H/W with full neck.Gypsy the unclipped cob was in a loveson M/W yesterday but he does feel the cold abit so she is in JHL H/W with full neck. Both happily munching on haylage by the hedge.

Oh GAWD, I must be the cruelest mum ever!

It's been cold on and off here for the last few weeks, but my boy has been wearing either a 200g full neck or a 340g no neck to go out, and a 200g full neck at night. He does tend to get very hot, and is clipped, so I have given up on putting more rugs on him overnight. He also has ad lib hay, so hopefully that keeps him nice and warm.

Our three are all unclipped - my Tb is in a 200g no neck, sisters gelding is in 200g overnight and lw (no fill) during day, welshie is naked, as she has been all winter. All lovely and toastie when I fed them this evening.

if you're cruel then what does that make me, Pidge is fully clipped and out in a 200g rug, ok so he has a neck cover but he's an ISH, and has been too hot so have downsized his rugs and have a much happier horse

Thank goodness for that, I feel much better now!

And this way the girls at the yard don't have to come up to me every day and tell me how unhappy he was overnight
