Apparently shes been sold,cant help but worry about her and where she may end up. Dont know why the owner just didnt just put the poor mare out on loan as companion.

Eh, I wouldn't write her off just because she's older. She's in good weight and looks healthy. Placed in the right home, I bet she'd have at least five more years of making someone happy.

This is what I was thinking too. You cannot judge the situation just by age and ther perfect final home may be out there. Lots of people snap up older/safe/been there done that types here.

I paid DEAR for an older mare who had about ten foals and worked hard all her life. She is anything but broken and is adoring her life of leisure and casual work with me. She is happy as a clam
