How sad, well I think it is -

in a way it is

i'm sure someone will buy it for their little darling lol

if it can give another child some enjoyment and teach them to ride or whatever then thats lovely and quite unselfish

however if it was me i'd probs loan it rather than sell

each to their own

Agree with this

Hard to say from the pics, but it looks well in itself, and small ponies often keep going for years! Often keeping active helps to keep them young. I sold my first pony when she was 19 to a family with 4 tiny girls - she taught them all to ride. I hope she finds a nice home.

Thank you SO much for posting this. She is EXACTLY what I have been searching for and she is only a couple of miles away. Have rung up and left a message, I hope to go and see her tomorrow all being well.

Oh that's good , I just thought aarh at 22 she wants to be loved and settled thats all.

Tricky, isnt' it - in an ideal world I'm sure we would all want our horses to be able to stay in one place and not have the upheaval of moving.

But if current owners have no use for her any more, IMO it's better to go to another family who will provide care and attention, and get the enjoyment back. My old pony couldn't care less where she was, anyway - so long as there was grass and pony nuts, she showed no loyalty

And if he can teach another child safley he's better off doing that than wasting away in a field possibly forgotten about or becoming a chore

Hope it goes well with the viewing

An update for all who asked!
Very excited to go and see her as she sounded perfect. I even got hold of previous owners to find out her previous history... then got pipped to the post by another lady who went to see her and bought her! I was gutted, but it obviously wasn't ment to be. It's 'dog eat dog' when it comes to finding safe first ridden ponies as I know only too well! At least she has found her next family to love and teach. Anyone know of any others in the South West?
