I bought this horse so he could go and live his retirement out at EMW sanctuary in shropshire, he is not being sold on- the original seller has just not removed the advert.

i just saw the ad today and felt annoyed at the person advertising him - well done you for buying him

Not a problem, just didn't want anyone thinking he had been bought for any reason other then to live out a happy life. He certainly will not be sold on.

I totally agree with what a few people have said on here and well done you for spotting this horse and agreeing to help him.
He looked a real sweetie and truly deserved a nice retirement home where he could be looked after.
If he has taken a place at a sanctuary then so what if he is has. It angers me that some people think we should not be burdening them with horses like the one above. Why ever not? What has this horse done so wrong that he is not entitled to some care and quality of life for the last few years of them rather than face a bullet or worse still fill someone's pocket with cash for meat money!
This really angers me can't you tell.
Not having a go at you btw because I truly respect what you have done. It just angers me that some of the posts on here refer to destroying the said animal and in doing so that to me implies he is not worthy enough of retirement ( assuming a good retirement home could be found that is). Good job we don't think like that about elderly folk after their useful working lives isn't it and consider putting a bullet to their heads rather than letting them bed block NHS wards or taking up places in Social Services ( all inclusive paid by tax payers) run care homes.
Anyway so glad to hear this old boy has found a deserved home and that he can live out the last of his days with security x

I agree, but I think people were saying that better PTS rather than ending up at somewhere like Amersham. It's not always easy to find a retirement home at a santuary because they are often overflowing.

I also agree with you. Have been answering on a previous post about a problem with a loan horse. Some people on here were saying shoot it. Why could it not be given a chance. There are people who take on horses who are not perfect. Not everyone one wants to do dressage or showjump or ODE. Would they want that for their elderly relatives when they are sick and no longer any use. Some people really annoy me.

This horse was bought in early March, by kind funding, from another horse forum board. He is now in the safe hands of EMW Shropshire, was never resold, the advertiser has not removed the original advertisment. the horse is doing very well.
