What do you think.... I would have liked to bath him today but as a) he needs a greasy coat to be weatherproof and b) its soooooo muddy in the field in places that it would just not be worth it.... I decided to try Tia's method of getting a shine........ GROOMING!!!

Not sure what his face is doing in the second picture.... I think he was hoping to squirt a big mouthful of water at me!!!!
 
I was soooo surprised that he looked so shiney, still a bit dusty up close, but he needs to be rainproof too.

Took his feathers off and pulled his mane, just need to get him fit now as he is a bit podgy... he has had an easy summer as he has a bit of arthritis and spavins.... doesnt stop him eating though

I have a little black lad and his coat shines like glass, I don't like to bath him partly because his shine disappears for a week or two.
