My Reg ID mare has just had a filly (simply gorgeous) to a 3/4 TB stallion. What's the best way for me to register her and get a passport? I am in the UK

It depends on if the stallion has been graded by a breed society and if the mare is registered ID.
Thanks honetpot. my mare is Reg ID and has an Irish passport. The stallion was thru Stallion AI and registered with CHAPS as an elite graded stallion. Does that help?

You should have a covering certificate from the stallion . You send that off ( completed by the vet to the studbook on the there . If you don’t want that stud book , contact The Irish draught GB , or even AES . They will have forms for you to fill in .

Thanks Asha, very helpful

My home bred is by a CHAPS graded stallion out of a reg Connemara mare. I decided to go for the Connemara part bred passport, and most CHAPS stallions are not that well known were as the Connemara part breds are well known bred type. He is tri-coloured but he is more like a Connemara with feathered legs and not a heavyweight cob type.

Thanks again Honetpot. I've decided to go with the Irish Draught Horse (GB) route, and they've been very helpful on the phone. Dilemma resolved! :-))
