As title really, my new boy arrived about 4 weeks ago now (imported from spain) and has settled in brilliantly, going out in the field every day (unheard of out there 
), riding nicely even with a digger behind the school and is generally very sweet and easy to handle. So, how long would you wait to take him out to his first outing, is there an unwritten rule as to how long you should wait or is it up to the individual?
I only ask as there is a little spring show at patchetts in 2 weeks would be good to go to, i dont drive and only have 4 total outings planned this year so would ideally like to do this one as its quite close so not much travelling and is much smaller and quieter than the ones later in the year so would be a good way to break him in gently and see how he reacts to everything, although if its like most other things he'll be far more interested in food to care!
