How steep can sheep climb? Thinking of making a bank instead of fence to keep them out

I haven’t read all the replies, but I have mountain sheep, they LOVE climbing, jumping scrambling. I have two that would see it as a mission to get up a bank like that, and my texels are too greedy to care, so they probably wouldn’t, unless following the mountain sheep. So I’d say it sounds like a lot of effort for something that may not work. I’d just suggest wire. It’s the easiest option if you can. There’s horse safe wire, sheep can’t get through that.

I suspect that rather than keeping them in or out you'd simply be giving them something to play with!

I'm fairly convinced a sheep could free solo El Capitan if it thought there was a chance of escape or death

Joining this thread just to say that sheep are the most frustrating to keep in (or out). I have 3 and despite the fact that two of them are old dodderers, virtually nothing stops them going where they fancy. They go through fences, over fences, under fences and they will also destroy the fences if they can! Second the comments about the wire - mine wouldn't even notice the bank even at their advanced years!
