Past couple of days I've been taking my youngster out in-hand and she strides out on the way out. Stops and back-ups on the way
However, when we've turned for home, she's decided "No thanks," and plants her feet. It took us ages to get home yesterday (only going for 10 minute walks down our track).
Anywho, if you turn and continue down the track, she walks along quite merrily. To do a circular route, I would be on the road for half an hour and we are building up to this but it's too much for the moment so we are having to go back the way we come.
Anyone else have a horse that naps the minute you turn for home?
