How tall are you and how big is your horse?

I'm 5'6" and have an 18.1hh so that's what I'm used to. At horse camp recently I played pony swap with a friend: hers is a 13.2hh cob! It felt like the ground was dangerously close to me! The photographer commented that I finally looked the right size on something but everyone else has commented on the pictures that I just look odd on something so small because they're used to seeing me on something so big!
 
I am 5'3'' and my gelding has finally reached the glorious height of 16.3hh. Never expected him to grow that big when I bought him, and he's also built like a tank. :D

The smallest I've ridden seriously (backed this little mare for sales as she was a bit too feisty for the yard kids) is a 13.1hh pony - I don't think I look bad on her, but I wouldn't ride anything smaller than her.

Im 5'8" and have a 16.3hh IDxSF who I look good on. I also have a 15hh cob who if I ride short I look fine on (short body long legs) but if I ride long I look a little ridiculous. I would love to be able to ride smaller ponies but sadly I don't think anything smaller than 15hh is going to be realistic.

I'm all body with very short legs, so end up looking tall but legs that don't come past the end of the saddle flaps :lol:!

Where as me on my 15.2 looks too big although I'm not greatly taller than you are. It doesn't help that he is quite fine with a neck that is set on quite low

He wasn't when I got him, he was measured 17.2hh, measured just before he was PTS a year and a half later at 18.1hh! I think I am just fairly longin the torso and ride quite long, which made him look a lot smaller! He was a British Warmblood, nothing too much of note in there. Both sure/dam and his full sister were 16hh, so massively over grew!

As someone who saw him twice a day every day and measured him with my own bare hands, he certainly was.. As I have said I am just long in the torso and ride long, I make everything look tiny!

Slightly different perspective, this farrier is 6ft1 and his head was just above whither height when he was standing.

This is in the past tense as my horse has died and due age have stopped riding but my horse was 17.2 and I am 5´10". Good fit size wise.
 
I'm 5ft8 and Fig is 15.2hh and Nova is 16.3hh. I carry much of my height in my legs so don't look too tall on smaller horses and can take up a decent barrel on something bigger too.

I ride a few kids ponies for various people, the smallest being 10.something! Also school a '17.3hh' eventer... It's deffo 18hh plus!!!

You're 5"8 and you ride something that's 10 hands? Woa, any pictures? (I want an excuse to ride teeny beasts, they're so much fun lol).
I'm 5"9, now, and the smallest I've ridden at this height was 13.2hh, but he was about 14hh wide lol :p
