How tall are you and how tall is your horse??

i'm 5'3 and my horses are 16.2/3, 15.2 and 14hh. People always think my 14hh is about 16 hands when they see photos of him because he's wide and takes up my leg. I'd love to have legs to stretch round big horses

I'm 5' 6ish and my horse is a 16hh MW. It's my weight I worry about, I could do with losing a bit.

I'm 5'6" and the mare is 15.3hh. I have quite long legs and weigh a smidge under 9st at the moment. She is part arab, part TB and a registered appy :) People often think she is smaller than she is, but they also think that I am, until they stand next to us. One person with the riding club thought I was her height (5'2") and that my mare was just over 14hh, until she came and stood next to us. I think my mares build make people think she is show pony and they don't realise that we are a scaled up version :D

I'm 5'"4 just about and my boy is 13.3hh, good to see some other people on here ride smaller than him, i'm always worried that i'm a bit big for him as he's quite a fine welsh B.

I'm 5'6'', last pony I was riding was 14.2, been riding a 16hh mare who is quite fine but fat and an ID x who is around 15.3 but looks bigger than the 16hh mare as he's a chunky boy

I'm 5ft 11 with a 36 inch inside leg and have a chunky 16.3hh warmblood. I don't think I look too bad on him, although my leg is probably a bit long when bareback. Saddle fit is another matter though :(

5'2" and a 14.3hh gypsey cob and welsh cob to make 14.2hh.
I dont like riding big horses, much prefer ponies but on lighter built ponies I feel I've no horse under me, which I also dont like.
I find cobs are the perfect balance, not to big for me but with plenty of horse under me and I look neither big or small on them :)

I am 5'6 and my 4yo is 16.3h atm, I sold my 15.1 a few years ago because I felt uncomfortable on her

OH is 6' and has just sold his 16h mare because he felt to big to be jumping the bigger classes on her

He has just bought a 17.3 mare who is quite fine and he feels much better on her. I think of a lot of it is about how comfortable you feel on your horse.

I am 5' and half an inch and my pony is 14.3.

I have ridden all sizes, from 11 to 18 hands.

I have just down-sized and this is the first pony I have had for ten years, and I am wondering why I ever bothered with horses at all!
