How tall will this horse grow?? All opinions welcome!

I have a 3 y/o (as of June 20th, 2012) Irish Sport Horse. When I bought him he was two months ish from turning 3 and was 15.3 hh. He is still this height and has not grown a smidgen. Dam (tb) stood at 16.2 hh, and the sire (RID) at 16.3 hh. The grandsire on his sire's side stood 17.1hh. I have been told they are slow growers... but my vet was just out today and said he might only grow an inch taller?? If that? Someone please tell me this is not the case. Does anyone have any personal experience with this breed? He is a lovely horse either way, but I do prefer them on the taller side. I was promised he would be 16.2 hh at least when full grown, and upon doing the string from fetlock to elbow and up to the withers trick he appeared to have A LOT of growing to do... I'm not sure how accurate I believe that to be. I have no record of his past growth history from the breeder. Please help! All thoughts and opinions welcome.

My ISH passport said 16.3hh at rising 5 and he is now just slightly over 17.1 so I wouldn't worry too much

Don't panic.

My ISH mare grew an additional two inches after we got her. She was just four when we purchased her. My TB grew three inches between the ages of four and five.

My current baby(which I bred myself) is only 14.3 at the moment (3.5 yo). So I am praying that she will grow another three inches so I don't have to sell her.
