I have just got a new Zip put in my long boots and tried them on and the Zip has come off the runner so to speak. My bbots are tight but they were fitted in a tack shop and have used them for 5 years so I am wondering if its cause they are too tight I can get the LHS boot on, the next size up (width) its 2cm bigger which would be loose on me.

Thanks for your help

If it is a new zip and they used to fit you, I'd go back to the shop and have a moan :D Perhaps they had to sew the zip in differently because the leather was older/possibly worn where the old zip had been attached?

My long boots were tight when I bought them, but soon dropped and now they are just snug (but easily fit over jeans etc).

Mine are too ruddy tight!
I have to get the lads on the yard to zip me up cos im not strong enough! They cut off my circulation at first but after walking round for a few mins they give a bit and I get feeling back!
My zip is pretty strudy though, maybe it was just a duff zip?

Tight enough not to be able to wear them over anything but jodhs, loose enough that I still have feeling in my feet! (Though I'm pretty sure my legs are getting fatter, I seem to struggle more zipping them up than I used to!)

I am hoping it is a duff zip it does not look as strong as the other one agree re friends donig them up my OH used to have to do that and I can do them on my own now. I wondered where they have stitched them in if its made it slightly smaller

I really hope not and am very fed up as I have just spent £24 on them and was looking forward to having them back - grhhhhh. OH had a huff too said my chalfs are too fat

my boots have got the front zip, which i think is better as takes the strain off the zip and stops it getting clogged with grease/sweat.
i have to pull mine up with a shoelace though the zip tab on my right leg, as i have some scar tissue on the back of my knee which makes it fatter than my left leg, but i dont loose circulation once its on!!!!
