How to attach breastplate to stubben equi-soft girth??

I need some ideas on how to attach my breastplate to stubben equi-soft girth as the girth only has a metal ring on it and the part of my breastplate then runs between my horses legs is just a leather loop.

So far the only option I've come up with it so unstitch my breastplate attach a swivel clip and sew it all back together, but I worry about the integrity of my breastplate once it's been unstiched and restitched and I'm also worried about the clip breaking.

Any ideas greatly received. TIA.
 
Maybe loop a flash strap through your breastplate which the girth can be threaded through instead of using the ring on the girth if that makes sense!
 
I did think of this but I'm not a fan of putting things between the girth and the horse, so I thought then about putting a strap through the girth ring and then round the breastplate but this will make the breastplate twist as the angle will be wrong, if that makes sense?
