My friend had to have one of her horses PTS on Friday, leaving her lovely old TB on his own for a day (until new companion arrives). He looked a bit agitated when I got there yesterday afternoon so I thought a bit of company might do him some good.

Unfortunately my company wasn't good enough so I had the (slightly mad) idea to pop him in the riding paddock with my mare for a bit. I say this idea was slightly mas because my mare does try and dominate other horses but I had to do something because he just kept pacing and calling :(

I lead her round for a bit with him loose following and there was no sign she was going to be agressive so I unclipped her. Well. Look what happened the minute I did;

Seems like she knew he was upset and cheered him up the best way she knows how! Needless to say I had alot of brushing off of dry mud to do...

Yep, for a horse thats normally vile to others I must admit I felt touched when they got up and went to graze next to eachother. Proud of my girl :)
