Well after my first days hunting, I now need to work out how to clean a tweed hunt jacket!

Impromptu deviation in flightpath between the mount and myself has lead to some mud and grass becoming a fixture on my jacket. I have left it to dry out.
Am I best off with a good stiff brush? Any trade secrets?

I let them dry and use my favourite dandy brush which I keep for this job .
Very bad mud can be gently scrapped off with a butter knife .

Where I learnt to ride, years and years ago, when the owner (who was an MFH) returned from a muddy day hunting, he used to put his thick heavy Melton wool hunt jacket on a wooden coat hanger and then dunk the coat in the big rain water trough on the yard swill it around a bit then hang to drip dry! He always looked immaculate so I guess it did work!
