how to clean my chaps??!!?

need help brought some lovely chaps only worn them a few time but i think they really need a wash! they are not leather ones just synthetic material
so can i put them in the washing machine?
they are quite dirty!!
DONT WANT TO HAVE TO KEEP BUYING NEW ONES

wonderful do i just need to make sure i zip em up? do i need to put them in a pillow case or anythin?

I've never bothered...I've just always thrown them in undone and nothing has ever gone wrong lol.

With synthetic chaps, I just bung 'em in one of those orange wash-bag things which you can get for rugs and put them on a fairly cool wash, but BEWARE coz sometimes they can lose their colour in the wash!

I scrub the worst of it off with a suede brush/shoe brush, then bung them in on a low temperature undone, preferably on their own.. I once bunged them in with the rest of the washing, and tie dyed my fave green t shirt and my Dad's fave polo neck! xx

I have got the £18 or there abouts dublin ones, the neoprene type material not suede ones......i put mine (ok....sent them to mum to wash as OH is allergic to horses!!!) in the washing machine yesterday.....they came up beautifully. No colour loss, no mis-shapenness, no problems at all. I didnt bother to zip them up or put them in a washing bag.
