How to cover up hairless scar for showing

Anybody have any tips? My mare has a couple of scars on her face, but is otherwise perfect for showing. It seems a pity to not compete for the sake of a couple of small scars. It is not as easy as colouring scars where fur has grown back white. In this day and age of painted on eyebrows, there must be an option somewhere. Have wondered about concealer for dark skin as an option.
 
How much of it does the bridle cover? Could a thicker browband or nose band cover it?
Boot polish was a favourite for covering scars or bold patches if you can get the colour right.

Nor several of mine and one or two had more than a bit of discoloured hair, cover as best you can, be careful whatever you use does not make it more obvious or end up being all over your jods.
Concentrate on what really matters the performance, a well schooled ride with a minor blemish will be put above the unblemished pony that goes badly by most judges.
 
Don't worry about scars, IME the only ones a judge would be concerned about are scars on legs. Which I guess would indicate a horse was not so coordinated and bashed itself somehow. My gelding got to NPS Olympia with a huge scare on his bum where he was hit by a car.
 
Thanks everyone for your replies. Only looking at unaffiliated at the mo to see how we far under the conditions. The 2 scars are above her noseband so no chance of hiding under a wider noseband. Hadn’t thought of shoe polish - any experiences using it, is it safe ie not

You could try a last min smear of vaseline then puff black wound powder onto it?
To be honest, I wouldn't worry about covering up.
 
I've got a little puffer of hair colour to cover up my grey hair, it also colours the scalp and makes my hair look thicker. As it comes in a variety of colours you might find one to suit as long as your horse isn't grey! Boots have a huge range to choose from.
 
Caution with hair dye.my lad reacted to it. Boot polish is also tricky as it runs in the rain and if the horse get too hot. Probably not a problem at local level in terms of sweating as the rings are not huge, but at county level the horse can get very warm by the time it has done a few laps of a massive ring.

My lad had several white marks on his legs, I bought him with the scarring and it was caused by over tight bandaging done in the dressage yard (Olympic rider!) I bought him out of. I used mascara of various shades very successfully and no one ever knew he was scarred
 
Aquired marks are not usually a bother but covering them may mean it looks slightly better but I would try a tiny bit of your product a long time before you show so you can avoid any reaction too close to your show
