Since january my horse has been intermittantly lame. He has been lame on about 8 occasions that I know of, and is lame now. On all but 2 times he felt lame when I rode, but when I returned to the yard and trotted him up he looked ok. As part of trying to deal with it he has had a new saddle. On one occasion he was still lame on our return to the yard, and I got a vet to se him. He investigated and nerve blocked the foot and determined that the lameness was not in the foot. He asked us to come to the surgery for further investigations but on the day we went he was sound and no more investigations could be done. Since then the next time he was lame my vet was ill himself and could not come, and now he has gone lame at the weekend so I cant get him seen, but I will be phoning the surgery this morning. I really dont know what to do and feel so depressed and anxious as I caant get a diagnosis.
