Hi everyone.

I bought a filly from the yard I've been helping out at on Thursday. She's 11 months old and lives out 24/7.
Her owner used to feed her but ran out and didn't buy anymore for a couple of months and she hasn't been fed since. I bought the feed she used to have (Dodson & Horrel Youngstock Mix.. or something along those lines) and put a bit in a bucket yesterday but she wasn't interested at all. I took her out and put her in an empty box so she was away from the grass but still not interested at all.

I wondered what I could do to encourage her to eat? The grass isn't amazing and didn't want her to miss out on anything.

I would not worry too much but at her age, provided she was well fed to date , she will be fine, maybe some sugar beet pulp to add to D&H which is very appetising . Have you tried a few sliced carrots or apples?
