Say nothing. If he's as observant as men I know he'll never notice.
He's lovely! Just tell you hubby that a friend of yours is in a really horrible situation atm with her family and she really couldn't cope with having to take care of her horse too, so since Alf needs some company anyway, you suggested that you could help her out and take care of him, while she sorts herself out. And if he asks again in a couple of months, tell him that she can't cope with him at all anymore and said that you can have him for free if you wantThere, hows that???

Awesome...I need one like this then...when I eventually get round to bothering lolI'd love to say I miss those days, but actually I don't have to. Dan gets himself new bikes (usually old ones actually the need fixing and selling) and I get the horses. We've never bought anything without letting the other know first, but neither of us has ever said no or even questioned the others right to do what we want...'tis rather awesome compared to what happens with some of our friends.![]()

Husbands are not all bad. I told my husband I was going to acquire a new horse (my third) and he asked "Is it a good jumper?"
