How to feed raw garlic cloves??

Whats best?? chop them up in their feed? put whole cloves in their feed?? or feed them whole by hand??

Also how many cloves should be fed per day for a welsh a + welsh d?

My horse won't eat them whole, she'll nose all around her feed and eat every last morsel except the clove!! Expert nose she has!!! But chop it up and she eats it! She was getting one clove morning and night, but then she was in and it was to help her COPD! Now she's out she just gets one in her feed, once a day.

We just throw a whole clove into the feed each day, they crunch them up with no issues.

Can make their breath a little wiffey though

I used to give mine half to one clove per day, I just used to cut them up, pop them in their feed and mix well.

I crushed them using a garlic crusher thing- but my horses are fussy! 1 clover would do a day for a welsh d, maybe half for welsh a?
