how to find out if a chiropractor/physio etc is registered

There is only one qualification for equine back people that is recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and that is an Equine Physiotherapist you can find out if they are truely qualified by contacting the CSP on 020 7306 6666, Chartered Society of Physiotherapy as they have to be a fully qualified Human Physio before they can then go on to train with animals in physiotherapy (when qualified they should carry the initials ACPAT (chartered Pysio Animal Therapy)and as a the name 'Physiotherapist' is now protected people are not allowed to call themselves this unless they are truely qualified.

For a physiotherapist to practise they have to be a member of the health proffessionals council (HPC), if you go on their site you can search the register and see if they are registered/qualified.
